Vet sparks debate naming five dog breeds she would never own and why

TikTok United States

A vet has sparked a debate online after sharing the five dog breeds she would never own - and the top five she would. Dr Whitney Terrell, from Alabama, US, admittedly favours golden retrievers and bassett hounds but avoids German shepherds and shih tzus at home.

Her TikTok video went viral and caused a stir on the social media app, racking up more than 8.5 million views. The popular Goldendoodle came in first place as her least favourite breed - because they are "high maintenance", require lots of grooming and are suspecitble to ear infections.
