Very issues 'important' warning to shoppers

Very has issued an 'important' warning to customers following a cyber incident with Yodel.

Earlier this week, the delivery firm experienced a cyber attack causing disruption for shoppers. Very, who uses Yodel to deliver their products, sent an email, with the subject 'Important update from Very', to shoppers explaining the problems.

In the email, Very said: "We want to make you aware that one of our delivery partners, Yodel, has experienced a cyber incident that has caused some disruption and impacted its ability to deliver to customers.

"Very works with multiple delivery partners and so we do not expect this to have any impact on the majority of Very customers. If you are one of the small number of customers with an outstanding delivery who may experience changes to your delivery timeframe as a result of this incident, we will contact you separately.

"We are in close contact with Yodel, who are investigating the incident. We want to reassure you that we do not provide customer payment or password information to our delivery partners."

Very referred customers to their fraud awareness page. They also asked customers who would like more information or support to contact their customer care team on 0800 11 00 00.

In a statement, Yodel said: "We have experienced service disruption due to a cyber incident. We're working to fully restore our operations as quickly as possible...

"Deliveries may arrive later than expected, we're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."
