BBC Radio 2 DJ Vernon Kay had listeners in suspense when he revealed he had made a “life-affirming” decision with the help of his family.
The former model and television presenter, who earlier this year announced his separation from wife Tess Daly, made the announcement during Tuesday morning’s show (1 September).
Kay said: “It’s a life-changer and it’s something that has been in the pipeline for quite some time. And it’s been a frustration of mine. And I finally came to a decision with family members, to sort it out.”
He then pulled out a pair of glasses.
The decision also appeared to go down well with listeners.
