Venus Williams suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the Oscars as she watched Will Smith deliver his acceptance speech for Best Actor after slapping Chris Rock.
The sport star's Elie Saab gown slipped to expose one of her nipples, forcing cameras to quickly cut away during the live broadcast.
The 41-year-old stunned in the white dress with a plunging neckline with a silver lining.
While the ABC broadcast focused in on Venus and her sister Serena it quickly cut to the Oscar's logo.
It's not clear whether the cameras cut due to a technical fault or because of Venus's outfit.
She appears to be holding one arm over her bust - potentially in an attempt to cover herself.
Eagle eyed fans spotted the slip, and took to Twitter.
One wrote: "Did anyone else see Venus Williams nip slip????"
"Ok so I know I couldn't be the only one who caught this but sheesh no one told my sis @Venuseswilliams that she had a nip slip!!!!
"I'm just saying I love her but who's around her cuz y' all failed my girl!!! @serenawilliams where was you at???!!! Lol," another wrote.
Earlier in the night, Will Smith became the most-talked about element of the event after he slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair.
Will, who won Best Actor for his portrayal of the Williams sisters' dad, Richard Williams, climbed onto the stage and hit Chris after he compared Jada to Demi Moore in GI Jane.
Jada, who has alopecia, rolled her eyes after the comedian made the dig, but Will allowed it to get the better of him.
Fans said that Venus' fail was totally overshadowed by Will's controversial outburst.
"Will Smith's slap was so shocking that when Venus Williams' nippled popped out and no one cared," one person tweeted.
"I feel like Venus Williams' nip slip would not even make a top 10 highlights package for this year's #Oscars," joked another user.
In his acceptance speech, Will referred to 'King' Richard as a "fierce defender of his family".
"In this time in my life, I am overwhelmed by what God is calling on me to do and be in this world," he added.
Richard told NBC news through his son Chavoita LeSane: "We don't know all the details of what happened."
"But we don't condone anyone hitting anyone else unless it's in self-defence."
Chavoita, who acted as his spokesperson since Richard suffered a stroke, adding that: "Williams was quite surprised"
