Four of the Earth's neighbours are going to line up in the sky when a special phenomenon begins this week. Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will be aligned in what is known as a 'planet parade' - and could remain visible without the need for a telescope for several weeks.
People will be treated to the sight from Wednesday until early May. The Moon will also join the celestial line-up on April 23, with a fifth planet – Mercury – becoming visible from June 24.
Experts say the best viewing window is between around 5am and 6am (BST) over the coming days. This will be just after the planets rise above the horizon, but shortly before the Sun follows after them.
