Over the span of two decades, Venice Remodeling (VFR Texas), founded by Chad Touqan, has evolved into a full-spectrum consultative and construction company that guides properties from the concept stage to the final sale, offering a bespoke level of integration in residential real estate. Entering the market as a flooring salesperson, Touqan has steadily positioned VFR Texas as a force within Houston's luxury real estate market.
The business found its momentum long before its establishment, ignited by Touqan's career journey. After his early years as a salesperson, he soon advanced into leadership roles where he trained teams and improved company performance. In that process, he learned what it means to prioritize customer expectations and tackle business inefficiencies. Eventually, a desire for autonomy and alignment with his professional standards led him to step out independently.
As he recalls, "I had my own ideas and my own perspective on running a company. At some point, you realize you can build something that reflects that." From that realization, Touqan began expanding the company methodically. Starting from flooring, he explored remodeling, then full-home renovations by starting three different companies to cover the real estate market. Over time, Touqan added real estate investment, interior design, staging, and custom luxury home building. Now, VFR Texas stands as a vertically integrated model that spans the entire property lifecycle.
"I started small, but today, the company is equipped to handle everything, from mid-level updates to million-dollar custom homes," Touqan says.
The company's evolution, Touqan notes, came after the recurring patterns he observed in the market, where high-value homes sat unsold for months or even years. In recent years, the amount of unsold completed new family homes has seen record-high numbers. "We can attribute this stagnation to pricing or marketing, but to bring real change, we need to identify deeper issues within the properties themselves," he says. "That's where we come in. We analyze the property and fix the elements that are holding it back."
This often begins with reframing the homeowner's role itself. Touqan advises clients to become investors in their own property by prioritizing strategic renovation, which he believes can elevate a home's market value. "These renovations often range between $50,000 and $500,000, but their results in returns are almost always worth it," he says.

VFR Texas consolidates multiple services into one operation, with Touqan himself simultaneously taking on the roles of consultant, designer, contractor, and project manager. While many may struggle to operate as a comprehensive powerhouse, Touqan notes that it allows him to champion a cohesive decision-making process and eliminate the disconnect that may arise when separate firms handle different aspects of a project.
"We bring everything into one place, with one vision," he says.
Another gap Touqan identified was in the staging market. He notes that homeowners were often forced to choose between low-cost options that diminished a property's appeal and high-end services that came with steep price tags. His solution, he highlights, introduced a premium staging at accessible pricing.
Prioritizing execution, he highlights that projects are guided by clear timelines, with defined start and completion dates. Contracts may even include accountability measures tied to delays. This reflects Touqan's emphasis on a culture of responsibility, which also extends to client communication.
Clients, he notes, receive weekly updates outlining progress and upcoming milestones to maintain transparency throughout the process. The company also connects homeowners with trusted suppliers, often extending access to discounted pricing through established relationships.
"Every project has challenges. What matters is how you handle them. We address issues directly and keep the client informed every step of the way," he says. Behind that customer focus is a team built on experience and continuity. According to Touqan, many members have been with the company for five to twelve years, who bring deep expertise across remodeling and construction divisions.
Onboarding new employees upholds the same standard of expertise. "We look for people who understand the craft and take pride in it," Touqan says. "If they don't have the experience yet, we invest in building it."
In the upcoming years, VFR Texas' focus is on strengthening the brand within Houston's expansive and competitive luxury market. Touqan is also investing in positioning himself as a recognized voice in staging, remodeling, and real estate investment through public speaking.
"The goal is to be known for the full experience," he says. "Someone who understands every stage of the process and delivers value at each one." Carried by that vision, Chad Touqan has built a business that goes beyond the basic remodelling needs, placing its expertise in reshaping how value can be created and materialized in the real estate market.
