Prominent supporters of Venezuela's late president Hugo Chávez are publicly criticizing interim President Delcy Rodríguez over her growing cooperation with President Donald Trump, exposing tensions within a movement historically built around opposition to U.S. influence.
"It's utter surrealism," former Chávez minister Héctor Navarro told The Guardian, describing Rodríguez's rapprochement with Washington. Other longtime Chavistas have criticized the government over its oil agreement with the United States and Rodríguez's meeting with Trump in New York last week.
