Vedanta Oil & Gas Q1 Results: Co swings to black with Rs 945 crore profit, revenue up 9% YoY

Vedanta Oil & Gas, which was recently listed separately on the stock exchanges following the mega Vedanta demerger, on Wednesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 945 crore for the first quarter of FY27. This compares with a net loss of Rs 104 crore posted in the year-ago quarter (Q1 FY26) and a net loss of Rs 479 crore in the preceding quarter (Q4 FY26).

The Vedanta Group company’s net profit comes despite the firm reporting a net exceptional loss of Rs 441 crore during the quarter under review. Its revenue from operations, meanwhile, rose around 8.5% YoY to Rs 2,507 crore during Q1 FY27, from Rs 2,311 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
