The show will air at 6:30 p.m. EDT/3:30 p.m. PDT on ABC. This will be Hudgens' third consecutive year hosting the official Oscars pre-show, with Hough joining her for the first time. The 30-minute special will showcase nominees, performers, and presenters, providing viewers with a multi-view experience of red carpet arrivals at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Prior to the official pre-show, ABC News will broadcast special coverage with a live Oscars pre-show, Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!, airing from 1:00-4:00 p.m. EDT/10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. PDT. The pre-show coverage will also be available for streaming on ABC News Live until the start of the Oscars ceremony. The show will be hosted by ABC News anchors and will include previews of the Academy Awards ceremony, live interviews with nominees and presenters, and an exclusive preview of the Governors Ball after-party.
Following the Oscars broadcast, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will present Live with Kelly and Mark from the Dolby Theatre on Monday morning. The show will feature special guests and a musical performance from Andy Grammer. The 96th Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting the prestigious event.
