Vanessa Feltz branded the BBC 'flavourless and anaemic' as she raved about her new show on TalkRADIO.
In July last year, Vanessa decided to turn her early alarm off for good and quit BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London.
A month later, she landed a job at TalkTV, fronting her own show drivetime radio show.
The 61-year-old was delighted when she learned that her show's reach increased by 25%, as stated by RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research)
"I am thrilled so many new listeners and viewers have left the anaemic and flavourless BBC and come to find Vanessa Unleashed at TalkTV," she explained.
"After years under a tight rein, I can finally be myself, take on the big guns and nuke the hype."
She went on to tell The Sun that the figures show that she has "found her home" at TalkTV.
Vanessa released a statement after leaving the BBC and said it was an 'honour and privilege' to have worked there.
"I have loved every moment with my Radio 2 'Early Birds' and will miss my Lovely Listeners, Jolly Good Fellows and beloved friends and colleagues at Radio 2 with all my heart," she told listeners via a statement.
"However, after almost 12 blissful years, I now need to step down to catch up on a much needed decade’s deficit of beauty sleep!
"It's been an honour and privilege to be the Breakfast voice of BBC Radio London for 20 years and although I’m leaving the show, I’ll continue to expect hugs from my lovely listeners when I see them on the streets of London!
"I will enjoy a dollop of energy-boosting shut-eye to swing from zip-lines with my three effervescent grandchildren and frolic with my fiancé Ben, who irritatingly remains 10 years younger than me!"
She was initially scared about her career as women over 60 years old were 'biting the dust'.
However, the star's fears disappeared when she landed her slot on TalkRADIO and TalkTV.
"My show now is exactly 12 hours later than my old show, it was 4am and now it's 4pm," she told Best magazine.
"My first day on the job, the PM was Liz Truss – it was her first day! Who knew she wouldn't hang on for long? On the fourth day the Queen died, which I announced.
"I take 14 limo bikes a week, whizzing around London for work. They're all seismic events."
