One person has been hospitalised following a crash on the A44 near Llanbadarn Fawr, Ceredigion. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, April 26, at about 3.30pm.
Police confirmed the crash involved a car and a van on the A44 Aberystwyth to Ponterwyd which was closed for part of the evening. When ambulance crews arrived, they found two casualties - one of whom had managed to get out of their vehicle already.
The other was still trapped in a vehicle, so the roof and dashboard had to be removed using specialist equipment. The person was then taken to hospital in an ambulance.
