A special Van Gogh experience is on its way to Dublin's RDS this summer.
After huge success in multiple cities across Europe and in the US,, entertainment producer Exhibition Hub together with Fever will bring Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience to the venue from from May 16 to August 4.
Planning for this exhibition began in 2016 and it first premiered in a cathedral in Naples, Italy in 2018.
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is a 360 degree digital art experience which invites visitors to step into more than 300 of Van Gogh’s sketches, drawings, and paintings by using floor-to-ceiling large scale digital projections.
The event also offers a one-of-a-kind virtual reality experience in a separate gallery from the central immersive area.
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience aims to provide an exhibition that is as breathtakingly immersive as it is educational by combining dynamic animation and visuals.
Using state-of-the-art video mapping technology, the exhibition is said to provide its audience with a new and intimate understanding of this post-impressionist and his famous works.
Digital media artists Dirty Monitor collaborated with event organisers to create the stunning animated visuals. The collective of artists have previously had their work projected on landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Exhibition Hub has teamed up with Fever for this special event, a company that brings to life immersive audience experiences such as the Candlelight Concert Series, Money Heist: The Experience and Bridgerton, a co-production with Netflix and Secret Cinema.
Visitors to Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will be required to wear face masks at all times.
Tickets for Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience are on sale now here. Adult tickets cost €17.90 while a child's tickets costs €10.40.
