Vaclav Cerny has reportedly branded the result of his water spraying incident during Rangers' win over Celtic as 'absurd'.

The Rangers winger aimed water in the direction of Celtic fans close to the away dugout at Parkhead as Hamza Igamane struck late in the game to give Barry Ferguson's side the victory.

Using information from iSport Blesk, Cerny is quoted as saying: “I don’t want to say too much, I can’t. I find it a bit absurd.

"The stands are so close, to have open water… I didn’t even know what was happening at that moment. I just ran. It’s a derby.”
