DEHRADUN/PITHORAGARH: The district magistrate (DM) of Champawat and senior authorities of the state education department on Friday had a mid-day meal with students of the Sukhidang Government Inter College after some upper caste students refused to eat the meal cooked by a Dalit bhojanmata (cook).
Last year in December, the same school had made headlines after a Dalit bhojanmata, Sunita Devi, was removed as the upper caste students were refusing to eat the mid-day meal cooked by her.
