Uttar Pradesh: When Samajwadi Party govt tried withdrawing cases against Varanasi blast accused in 2012

VARANASI: Ten years before Monday’s decision of the Ghaziabad sessions court of awarding death penalty to Waliullah Khan in March 7, 2006, serial blasts in Varanasi, the then Samajwadi Party (SP) government in the state had sought legal opinion for the withdrawal of cases from some terrorists, including Waliullah.
