Uttar Pradesh: Two doctors held in Balrampur for giving away newborn baby to kin

LUCKNOW: Two doctors, one of them the owner of a private hospital, were arrested in UP's Balrampur district on Wednesday for allegedly giving away a newborn baby to one of their relatives after informing the biological mother that she had delivered a stillborn baby.

The delivery was done on October 29 after which the doctors claimed that the baby could not survive. However, the family grew suspicious when the doctors did not hand over the baby despite repeated requests.
