VARANASI: The Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a road show in Varanasi on Thursday in support of the party candidates. An impressive crowd of people could be seen at the road show.
During her stay in the city, she spent some time at the Kabirchaura math Mool Gadi, the seat of Sant Kabirdas. She also moved in the lanes of Kabirchaura, known for its celebrated musicians like tabla maestro Kishan Maharaj, Kathak queen Sitara Devi, and met with their family members there.
The Congress has fielded Mudita Kapoor from Varanasi South, Rajesh Mishra from Varanasi Cantt, Gulrana Tabassum from Varanasi North, Anju Singh from Sevapuri, Girish Pandey from Shivpur, Asha Devi from Ajagara, Ajay Rai from Pindra and Rajeshwar Patel from Rohaniya. Priyanka also addressed an election rally in Sakaldiha assembly constituency in Chandauli district. In Chandauli, the Congress has fielded Chhabbu Patel from Mughalsarai, Devendra Pratap Singh from Sakaldiha, Vimla Devi Bind from Saiyadraja and Ram Sumer Ram from Chakia.
