LUCKNOW: Association of Private Schools, Uttar Pradesh, has urged the state government to release the long pending fee reimbursement under the Right to Education (RTE) to schools at the earliest.
"As per the government order dated June 30, 2013, for the past nine years the private schools get RTE reimbursement at the rate of Rs 450 per child. As per that rate an amount Rs 846 crore has to be paid to private schools by the education department," said association president Atul Srivastava.
