LUCKNOW: Taking on the BJP leadership for their 'ghor pariwarwadi' jibe, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said only a 'pariwarwala' can understand the agony of a jobless son. Only a 'pariwar wala' knows that marrying his daughter in these trying times when prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing is not an easy task. "Those who don't have families cannot understand struggles that a family has to face in day-to-day life," he said addressing an election meeting in Gonda.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath are slamming the SP of indulging in dynasty politics, branding the Yadav clan as 'ghor pariwarwadi' in their election speeches repeatedly. On Wednesday addressing a series of election rallies in Bahraich, Sravasti, Barabanki and Gonda, Akhilesh attacked the BJP leadership by striking an emotional chord with the people on the issue of 'pariwar' (family). He said those who are accusing the SP of being 'ghor pariwarwadi' should first understand what a family means. "Parivar wale hi pariwar ka dukh dard samajh sakte hain ... jinka pariwar nahi hai ... who pariwar ka dukh dard nahi samajh sakte (Only those who have a family can understand the bond that members of a family share ... those who don't have a family cannot understand what it means if someone in the family is in pain), he said, adding: "Yahan jitne log hain sab pariwar wale hain (All of you here have families)," he said and the crowd responded in affirmative. The former UP CM then went on to cite situations when the pain of one member becomes the suffering of entire 'pariwar'.
