KANPUR: Delhi University, Al-Falah University, CSJM Kanpur and Punjabi University, Patiala on Wednesday reached the semi-final of North Zone Inter- University cricket championship being played here at different grounds.
Delhi University outplayed LPU Punjab by 46 runs in the quarter-final held at the HBTU campus. Putting into bat, Delhi University scored 9 for 176 in 25 overs. They lost their top three batsmen cheaply and were reduced to 3 for 5. Jayant (33) and Yashjeet (17) stemmed the rot by adding 45 runs in their fourth wicket partnership. Anmol Sharma in the lower order thereafter scored 63 runs hammering 7 boundaries and 4 sixes. Aman supported him from the other end and contributed 28 runs consisting of 2 boundaries and two sixes. Vikrant, Shivam and Ankit bagged 2 wickets each.
