Uttar Pradesh CM orders genome sequencing of Covid patients in NCR districts

NCR Ghaziabad UP Gautam Budh Nagar Lucknow New Delhi

LUCKNOW: Alarmed over the surge of cases in Delhi, the UP government has ordered genome sequencing of Covid-19 positive patients in the NCR districts of Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar. In all, 106 fresh cases were reported in the state, 70 of them from GB Nagar and 11 from Ghaziabad.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath issued orders to this effect during a meeting of the Team-9 overseeing the pandemic situation in the state. The CM also appealed to the people of UP to stay cautious against warning signs of the coronavirus.
