AGRA: Two Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) faculty members have entered the cricket pitch, not to hit the ball for a six but to design a "cricket bat the handle of which can be detached and replaced to offer control and balance to batsmen".
This would allow the batsman to adjust the length and weight of the bat as per the player's needs.
