MEERUT: The police in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut arrested three accused on Monday for assaulting a young man and subjecting him to humiliation by urinating on him.
The principal perpetrator of the incident had been taken into custody on the preceding Sunday.
The incident happened on November 13 in the Jagriti Vihar locality, falling under the jurisdiction of the Medical College police station. During this event, a group of individuals allegedly assaulted a young man and subjected him to the degrading act of urination.
The victim's father filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the police station, citing relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Ashish Malik, identified as the main perpetrator, was apprehended on Sunday, while three others—Avi Sharma, Rajan, and Mohit Thakur—were arrested on Monday, as confirmed by SHO Suryadeep.
