Her son Kile, just 11 years old at the time and from her previous marriage, was involved in a tragic boating accident. Upon learning of the incident while Foster was in Italy, Usher swiftly arranged for her immediate return home, recognizing the immense distress she was going through. Despite their divorce in 2009 after two years of marriage, Usher felt compelled to be there for Foster during such a challenging time.
