The U.S. Department of Agriculture has set the fee that companies will pay for certain dairy import licenses during the 2027 calendar year. USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service announced September 2 that it will charge $325 for each dairy tariff-rate quota import license issued for 2027. The licenses allow qualifying importers to bring specified amounts of certain dairy products into the United States at lower tariff rates established under federal trade rules.
The announcement doesn’t represent a new consumer fee, and shoppers won’t pay the $325 charge themselves. It applies to people and companies receiving licenses through USDA’s dairy tariff-rate quota program.
