USDA Recalls Nearly 15 Tons of Argentine Beef That Skipped Required Import Reinspection

Corte Argentino USA LLC of Aventura, Florida, is recalling approximately 29,628 pounds of raw beef imported from Argentina that entered U.S. commerce without the import reinspection federal law requires, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced August 7. The product went to distributors and retailers in Florida and Texas.

No illnesses or injuries have been confirmed in connection with the products. FSIS discovered the problem during routine inspection activities, not through a foodborne illness investigation.
