US Visa Bulletin October 2026: Some Indians get green card relief as new US fiscal year begins, but many remain stuck

Green Card Update: The October Visa Bulletin shows renewed movement in several green card categories for Indian applicants as the US begins fiscal year 2027 and annual visa limits reset. The strongest gains are in employment-based categories, with the EB-1 final action date moving forward by more than three months to February 1, 2023, from October 15, 2022.

The EB-4 final action date also advanced by two months to December 15, 2022, from October 15, 2022. However, EB-2 and EB-3 final action dates remained unchanged at November 1, 2013, and January 1, 2014, respectively. This means Indian applicants in these categories may not see immediate approval movement despite the start of the new fiscal year.
