NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. stock market is heading toward an eighth straight winning week, which would be its longest such streak since 2023. The S&P 500 added 0.4% early Friday and pulled closer to its all-time high set in the middle of last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 357 points, and the Nasdaq composite climbed 0.4%. Oil prices were calmer following yo-yo moves earlier in the week. Estee Lauder jumped after saying it was no longer considering a merger with Puig, a Spanish fragrance and beauty products company. European and Asian markets were higher.
