US recession fears deepen as economy contracts for 2nd straight quarter: What about India?

NEW DELHI: World biggest economy contracted for the second quarter in a row on Thursday, triggering fears of recession.

In the first quarter of the financial year 2022-23, US gross domestic product (GDP) had slumped by 1.6%. The next quarter too witnessed 0.9% annualised rate of decline in GDP.
