US pummels Iran as Tehran targets regional bases stationing US forces

Iran on Friday said it carried out attacks targeting US military assets and bases with US forces in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait in retaliation for Washington's latest strikes across the country. The US meanwhile bombarded sites across Iran as the conflict escalated, leading US embassies to alert its nationals across the region.

Iran targeted American strongholds around the Persian Gulf on Friday, while the US bombarded Iranian military sites as the rivals showed no sign of backing away from their conflict after a 13th straight night of strikes.
