US peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Kyiv on Sunday for their first visit to the Ukrainian capital, a day after holding talks with Russia’s Vladimir Putin on ending more than four years of war, which began with Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
A White House official told the AFP news agency that the duo had met with Putin to "advance President Trump's agenda of peace in the Russia-Ukraine War."
