US Patriots Day Freedom Fest cancelled after funding issues

  • Organiser and MAGA influencer Eric Deters had planned to host the festival on 26 September, with musician Kid Rock and reality star Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman scheduled to appear.
  • Deters strongly criticised his wealthy contacts for failing to buy tickets, declaring that "rich people suck" and vowing never to hold the event again.
  • The festival was previously popular among high-profile conservative figures, having previously hosted speakers such as Candace Owens, Eric Trump, and Donald Trump Jr.
  • Deters later defended the decision online, clarifying that the cancellation was solely due to event funding rather than a lack of public interest.
