US Navy sailors reportedly trying to jump overboard as families plead with officials for help: ‘He hopes he doesn’t wake up tomorrow’

The families of US Navy sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln are claiming that men are attempting to leap into the ocean to escape the ship.

As reported by Navy Times and Stars and Stripes, families of those on board have pressed Navy leadership about their serious concerns over sailors’ mental health, exhaustion and safety. This comes against the backdrop of an extended deployment, with the carrier having supported operations in the Middle East for eight months.
