AHMEDABAD: In the first week of February, Gandhinagar Smart City Development Limited announced in a tender notice that it will hire a private agency that can assist in operating its facial recognition system for the police department — the first Gujarat city to make such an announcement.
But since September last year, authorities have been testing a US and an Israeli face recognition platform on its CCTVs in the capital city.
