Tesla's substantial UK taxpayer subsidies have come under renewed scrutiny following Donald Trump's announcement of a 25 per cent tariff on imported vehicles to the US.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves said the government is reviewing its electric vehicle transition rules, amid calls for reciprocal tariffs on Tesla imports.
