US aerospace firm announces £57 million expansion at Prestwick Airport

A US aerospace firm has announced a £57 million investment in aircraft maintenance facilities next to Prestwick Airport.

GE Aerospace is spending £30 million on the expansion and modernisation of its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) site in the South Ayrshire town and claims it will create 150 new jobs over the next five years.
