Uruguay 36-26 Namibia

Fullback Baltazar Amaya scored two tries as Uruguay overturned a halftime deficit to defeat ill-disciplined Namibia 36-26 for a bonus-point victory in Lyon on Wednesday.

Namibia led 20-12 at the break after scoring tries through wingers Gerswin Mouton and JC Greyling in the opening 11 minutes, but having played four games in 19 days, they could not sustain the challenge. Reuters

Santiago Arata, player of the match: “I want to say thanks to all the fans who have been here for two weeks – this victory is for them.” Next up for Uruguay – the All Blacks. “It’s a tough game,” Arata straight-bats. “We have six days to prepare, so let’s go.”
