In an update, the CCPC explained: "A safety issue has been identified in the US with the affected products, where the tethered strap under the seat of the product could pose an entanglement hazard to non-occupant infants who can crawl under the seat and which could lead to strangulation."
There are approximately 944 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
People who purchased one of these products are urged to discontinue use immediately, and contact Kooltrade, 4moms’ distributor in Ireland for a free strap fastener that will prevent the straps from extending under the seat.
