A machete was seized from a teenage boy as police issue an urgent warning.
Merseyside Police confirmed that at around 9pm on Wednesday, June 7, they were called to reports that a male was in possession of a machete in Huyton. Officers from the Knowsley policing team attended and carried out what police said was an extensive search.
Taking to their social media page on Thursday morning, they confirmed the weapon had been recovered and a 15-year-old boy was arrested. The teenager remains in custody this morning.

Issuing an urgent warning, the policing team said: "There's no place for knife crime in Knowsley. Help us take weapons off the streets."
