Urgent search for missing Renfrew man as police 'increasingly concerned' for his welfare

Police are appealing for help to trace a man who has been missing from his Renfrew home since Saturday.

James Wright, 44, was last seen four days ago at around 2.30pm on Saturday, May 13 in the Govan area.

Officers saying they are growing "increasingly concerned" for James as they appealed for anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.

He is known to frequent the Renfrew and Govan areas and is described as being white, around 5ft 8in tall, with short brown hair.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Mclennan said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for James' welfare.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference 2523 of 16 May."
