Urgent search for Edinburgh pensioner as concerns grow for missing 73-year-old

An urgent appeal has been launched in Edinburgh to trace missing pensioner David Scotney.

Police in the capital have issued "concerns" for the whereabouts of the 73-year-old, who was last seen on Wednesday (May 18.)

In a statement, officers shared that David was reported missing from the Craigcook Road area of the city.

Last seen at around 4pm on Wednesday, concerns have been raised "for his welfare as time passes."

He is described as being around 6ft, with short grey hair and clean shaven. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

Inspector Scott Casey, from Wester Hailes Police Station, said: “We are appealing to anyone with any information on David’s whereabouts, or any potential sightings, to please come forward as soon as possible.

“If you believe you can assist our efforts to trace him, please call 101, quoting incident 2566 of 18 May.”
