'Urgent' plea amid search for missing Scots man 'believed to be injured'

POLICE are searching for a Scottish man who has been missing overnight and they believe may be injured and in need of treatment.

James Williams, 41, was most recently seen in the Seaton Walk area of Aberdeen at around 8.50pm on Monday, August 28, 2023.

Police said they have reason to be concerned for his welfare and asked anyone who could help trace the missing man to get in touch “urgently”.

Williams is described as being white, 5’11, of slim build and with short, ginger hair.

He was last known to be wearing a navy blue Nike tracksuit and red flip-flops.

Inspector Stuart Fisher said: “We're concerned for James's welfare as we have reason to believe he may have injuries which would require treatment.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard from him at any time since Monday evening to contact us as a matter of urgency.

“If James himself sees this, please come forward, so we can ensure you're safe and well.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 3782 of 29 August.”
