An urgent search is underway for a man who tried to kidnap a girl from the street in broad daylight.
Police in Hampshire have released an e-fit of a man they want to talk to after a driver tried to snatch the teenage girl between 3.30pm and 3.45pm on September 9.
The teenager was walking down Farnborough's Alexandra Road, between Boundary Road and Reading Road, when an unknown person tried to abduct her.
Officers say that a vehicle, which has been described as a 2008 silver Ford Focus, had been driving past the teenager on multiple occasions during a 10-minute period.
A man then exited the vehicle and made an attempt to grab the girl’s arm and drag her towards the car, police say.
She managed to break free and run away from the man before she was seen to enter another vehicle and was driven away from the scene.
The man is described as being white, in his late 20s or early 30s, and approximately 5ft 10ins tall with light brown hair slicked to the right-hand side.
He was seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey jogging bottoms at the time of the incident.
Since this incident was reported to Hampshire Police, officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries and have now shared an e-fit image to help with their search.
A police spokesperson said: "Do you recognise the man in the e-fit?
"Were you in the area at the time? Did you witness what happened? Perhaps you have dash-cam footage in the moments leading up to or during the incident?
