Gardai investigating the murder of Lisa Thompson have issued an urgent appeal for a mystery man to make contact with them.
Officers say that on Thursday, May 12 at 7.10am a man “handed a document in the name of the deceased Lisa Thompson” to a Garda staff member at the front door of Finglas Garda Station.
The man then left on foot.

Gardai are now appealing for this man to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson said this morning: “An Garda Siochana in Ballymun are appealing to this male to make urgent contact with the investigation team at Ballymun Garda station at 01 666 4400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
The strange incident at the Garda Station happened just days after the horrific killing of mum-of-two Lisa Thompson.
The body of the popular 52-year-old was discovered by friends in her own home in the Sandyhill Court area of Ballymun on Tuesday, May 10. She had been stabbed up to 12 times.
Lisa’s body is expected to be released back to her family over the coming days.
As the hunt for tragic Lisa’s killer continues, gardai continue to keep an “open mind” on the motive for the gruesome killing.
Investigators are examining a number of theories into her murder.
“An Garda Siochana is following all lines of enquiries at the moment. We’re keeping an open mind in relation to the investigation and I can assure the community that An Garda Siochana’s best team is in place to make sure this investigation is fully carried out to bring the culprit to justice,” Superintendent Darren McCarthy said at a press conference last week.
An incident room has been established at Ballymun Garda Station and a family liaison officer has been appointed to the victim’s family.
Superintendent McCarthy added: “Lisa was a 52-year-old woman, she was well known in her local community, which is shocked over the violent and traumatic death of Lisa.
“I would like to thank the community for the cooperation and assistance received so far and information received from across the community.”
