Scots teen missing over a week traced following urgent appeal

A Scots teen missing for over a week has been traced safe and well following an urgent appeal.

Jessica McMurray, 17, has last been seen at Chance Inn in Crail, Fife, at around 2.15pm on Thursday, August 11.

Police Scotland had said it is unusual for the teen to go so long without being in contact with someone.

Jessica had been described as 5ft 4in tall, of a slim build, with short black hair in a buzz cut style. She was wearing a black Calvin Klein sports bra, denim shorts and black hi-top Converse trainers at the time of her disappearance.

Jessica had went missing before and travelled to the Glasgow area. She may have been in Edinburgh on Friday, August 19. Police had asked anyone with information on her whereabouts to get in touch with them.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that missing 17-year-old Jessica McMurray, reported missing from the Crail area of Fife, has been traced safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
