Urban explorers snuck into a hotel which was abandoned and left to rot during the coronavirus lockdowns.
The adventurers managed to climb up the fire escape and through an open door into the Willerby Manor Luxury Wedding Hotel and Health Club in Hull.
What was once a three-star hotel well used by school and wedding parties has now been left to rot.
The hotel's owners and staff seem to have left the Manor in a relative hurry, leaving many of the furnishing, fittings and industrial units in the function rooms and kitchen.
While the explorers - who include Youtuber Daniel Sims aka Beardedreality - are unlucky enough to stumble across an emptied wine rack, there is a mountain of beer kegs which appear to be full.
The clearest sign that the hotel was running and full of life not so long ago comes in the form of a sandwich board advertising afternoon tea, written in clear and smudge-free freehand.
The Yorkshire hotel was owned by well-known chain Best Western until it was closed two-and-a-half years ago.
People were drawn to the venue for its swimming pool, sauna, spa and fitness studio, as well as restaurant called Fig's brasserie.
Daniel visited the hotel shortly before it was knocked down to make way for 50 new homes.
He clearly wasn't the first person to drop by following its closure.
The adventurers find several windows smashed through from the outside and bottles of alcohol strewn across the floor.
They wander down into the swimming pool and jacuzzi zone, which have both been emptied of water, revealing large blue seahorse-patterned mosaics on the floor.
In the spa they stumble upon a display of full beauty products and a pair of swimming flippers on the floor.
In a statement back in 2020, the Willerby Manor team said: “It is with sincere regret that we inform you that The Willerby Manor Hotel and Healthclub will be permanently closing.
“This has not been an easy decision and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
