Sci-fi comedy series Upload is returning to Amazon Prime Video for a second series. Written by Emmy-award winner Greg Daniels (The Office), the Amazon Prime video description of the series reads that it is ‘’set in a technologically advanced future where hologram phones, 3D food printers and automated grocery stores are the norm".
Most uniquely, humans can choose to be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife. This brand new season will be seven episodes and will exclusively premiere of Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
The trailer is also available for viewers to watch on Amazon Prime Video's official YouTube channel to give you a sneak peek of what more to expect from the series. The trailer hints that there will be some familiar faces in this new season, talking dogs, humorous moments, and new digital tech features that the characters are discovering throughout the series in their digital afterlife.

When is the Upload season 2 release date?
Upload Season 2 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on Friday 11th March 2022.
What to expect from Amazon Prime Video Season 2?
The cast of Upload Season 2 will continue to include cast members from the first season including Andy Allo (Nora), Robbie Amell (Nathan), Allegra Edwards (Ingrid), Zainab Johnson (Aleesha), Kevin Bigley (Luke), Owen Daniels (Boris), Andrea Rosen (Lucy) and Joshua Banday (Ivan).
In season 2 of this series, you can also expect Nathan to find himself in a predicament in his (after) life as his girlfriend, Ingrid, shows up to Lakeview hoping to strengthen their relationship, but his heart still yearns for his customer service angel Nora.
Whilst all of this is happening, Nora is off the grid as she gets involved with an anti-tech rebel group who go by the name “The Ludds.” The new season is packed with brand new near-future concepts including Lakeview’s newest in-app digital baby program called, “prototykes”.
There will also be other satirical glimpses of the technological advances and headaches to come. As well as being the writer of Upload, Greg Daniels is also the executive producer of the show, alongside Howard Klein.
