The No. 2 ranked Georgia Bulldogs (9-0, 6-0 SEC) are set to take on the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels (8-1, 5-1 SEC) in Sanford Stadium on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET, televised on ESPN.
Injuries have plagued the Bulldogs all season and star tight end Brock Bowers is the most notable loss. The junior missed the last two games due to an ankle injury that required TightRope surgery.
Kirby Smart shared an update on Friday in an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show”.
“Maybe, It may be real interesting. I still don’t know if Brock is completely healthy. He’s in a much better place to be able to go out and compete be closer to going and we’ll find that out (by) game time.”
Beyond Bowers, there are multiple Bulldogs working their way back to the field.
Here’s our updated Georgia injury report, including recent quotes from head coach Kirby Smart:

Status: Questionable
Mims underwent TightRope surgery for an ankle injury suffered in Week 3. The junior has dressed out the last two games and is expected to return soon.
“I think Mims is much closer, Smart said. “He feels really comfortable. He could have probably played Saturday, had we needed him.”
RB Roderick Robinson
Injury: Ankle
Status: Questionable
Robinson has missed the last six games due to an ankle injury suffered in Week 3. The true freshman returned to practice during the bye week and suited-up versus Florida and Missouri. There isn’t a recent update on his Status from Smart.

LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Injury: Arm

Dumas-Johnson suffered a fractured left arm in Georgia’s win over Missouri. While the AJC’s Chip Towers reported that the junior told him that he would ‘try’ to play with the injury, Smart hasn’t revealed his status for Saturday’s matchup.
“He’s going to try to find some innovative ways to get back and be able to play but won’t know the extent of that until a couple more days,” Smart said on Monday.
RB Branson Robinson
Injury: Knee
Status: Out for season
Robinson will miss the 2023 season due to a torn patella tendon suffered in fall camp. Smart was asked on Tuesday if Robinson will be cleared by spring practice.
“The closest thing we had was Rian Davis went through this the one year, and it’s a long, arduous process. I can’t answer that. I think he’ll probably be cleared, but I don’t know if he’ll be able to go through live tackling and everything.”
Linebacker Xavian Sorey
Reason: Personal
Status: Expected to return
Xavian Sorey missed the Missouri game due to personal reasons, but is expected to return against Ole Miss.
We’re expecting to have (Xavian) Sorey back, as well as Raylen (Wilson), C.J. (Allen), Smael (Mondon, Jr.), Jalon (Walker), Terrell (Foster). All those guys will be competing for those spots.
