The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (5-0) will take on the undefeated, No. 20 ranked Kentucky Wildcats (5-0) on Saturday in Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs have been crippled by injuries thus far, but they enter this matchup as healthy as they’ve been since fall camp.
Buy Bulldogs TicketsStar wide receiver Ladd McConkey (back) played his first snaps of the season against Auburn last week. Running back Kendall Milton (MCL) played five snaps last week after missing most of the South Carolina game and the UAB game. Starting safety Javon Bullard also returned versus the Tigers.
McConkey, Milton and Bullard are expected to play on Saturday, but conditioning is the primary factor when it comes to how many snaps they’ll get.
Several Bulldogs are still working to get back on the field.
Here’s our updated Georgia injury report, including recent quotes from head coach Kirby Smart:
RB Kendall Milton
Injury: Knee (MCL)
Status: Available
Milton taking the field last week is a good sign that his recovery is on track.
Kirby Smart: “He’s been great this week, he looks healthier this week than he did last,” Smart said on the SEC Coaches Teleconference call on Wednesday. “He’s got some speed, he’s fresh out there, so we’re certainly hoping he can help impact that run game.”
WR Ladd McConkey
Injury: Back
Status: Available
McConkey made an immediate impact in limited snaps last week. His injury didn’t bother him during, or after the game.
Kirby Smart:”But as far as 100% having him back, that is still yet to be determined. We’re trying to figure that out as we go.”
DB Javon Bullard
Injury: Ankle
Status: Available
Bullard looked like his usual self in his return against the Tigers.
Kirby Smart: “You get sore when you don’t do anything for that long and you go do that much. It’s just typically what your body does. But he’s been good. He recovered Sunday Monday, was great, had a lighter day Monday and then got after it today. He seemed good today.”
OT Austin Blaske
Injury: Knee (MCL)
Status: Questionable
Blaske is dealing with an MCL strain he suffered in fall camp. He dressed out against UAB and Auburn, but his status for Saturday is up in the air.
RB Roderick Robinson
Injury: Ankle
Status: Questionable
Robinson’s injury has held him out of the last two matchups after going down in the South Carolina game. Smart wasn’t upbeat when asked about his status on Monday.
Kirby Smart: “He’s still dealing with an ankle injury so we’ll see how it goes this week…”
DL Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
Injury: Foot
Status: Out
Dawkins hasn’t taken a snap since Week 1. DawgsCentral reported that he underwent foot surgery in Week 4. It seems like Dawkins will miss most of the season.
Kirby Smart: “He’s still the same deal. We’re on non-weight bearing, waiting for some pictures to come back. He had a four-week shutdown, and then after five weeks we will take another picture to see where it’s at and decide whether or not we can wrap up.”
OT Amarius Mims
Injury: Ankle
Status: Out
Mims will miss extensive time due to an ankle injury suffered against South Carolina. The injury required tight rope surgery, and his timetable for return is unknown.
RB Branson Robinson
Injury: Knee
Status: Out for season
Robinson will miss the 2023 season due to a torn patella tendon suffered in fall camp.
