Recruiting is the lifeblood of any college football program and can determine whether a team is competitive consistently, a flash in the pan, or a perennial doormat.
For Ohio State, recruiting has almost always been at an elite level, allowing the Buckeyes to compete for Big Ten championships and national titles. But there is competition. Michigan has come on, Penn State seems to be resurgent, and other teams across the way in the West division, like Wisconsin and Iowa, are also looking to close the gap.
We like to look at where the recruiting rankings stand in the Big Ten throughout the year, and it’s time to check in once again as July comes to a close.
Here are the latest Big Ten football recruiting rankings for the 2024 cycle according to the 247Sports Team Composite rankings.
